A Baby Boomer Reflects

A Baby Boomer Reflects

On A Life Of Sex, Drugs, And Rock And Roll

Unfortunately it wasn't my life. If it was yours send details.*

The closest I ever got to that Life was, briefly, considering a trip "up the country" to Woodstock. Fortunately for me, my friends, and 4000,000 others, we opted, instead, for a trip to White Castle. Narrowly escaping "Three Days of Peace and Music" which would have become "Three Days of Peace and Music and Whining"  "It's hot. It's raining. It's muddy. Porta Potties!!!!"

None of these people are me. But feel free to check.

Truthfully I don't regret missing out on the Defining Cultural Event 0f A Generation what with the rain/heat/mud/Porta Potties situation. What's my point? Just to let you know that I have a long history of non-awesomeness. Update, I'm as not awesome now as I was then: couldn't be less cool. Nevertheless I do have things to discus. And, here's the good news. Not a single one of them is important.**

Don't know about you but I've had it up to here with events: current and otherwise. Exhausted from TMI? Why not join me for PNIAA: Practically No Information At All. Haven't we suffered enough already?

My pledge to you. This blog will be significantly inconsequential, profoundly superficial, and gluten free. If you're looking for pithy, trenchant insights: righteous indignation, or any other form of smarty-pantsness. Oops wrong blog. Also I, regularly, pay little attention to well established rules of grammar. I know my writing drives the Punctuation Police crazy. I understand the dismay and I don't care. My laptop has repeatedly yelled at me for run on sentences, non-sentence sentences and failure to yield to the right. Makes me no never mind.

A little bit about me. I am, in fact, a Baby Boomer. Mature: "a woman of a certain age" and too old to die young. I'm, pretty much, okay with ma'amhood. It's been said that, with age, comes wisdom and I'm certainly looking forward to that.

I've always written and now that I'm retired and no longer a productive member of society, I'm thinking why not be non-productive publicly?

At this point you may be wondering "Say Carol what topics will we be exploring?" Why a broad spectrum, ranging from the personal..

"Being Judgemental Is Stupid"

to the practical...

"Sixty Five Products To Simplify Your Life"

Hope you enjoy reading this, insubstantial, blog as much as I've enjoyed writing it. I'll be posting every two weeks. Weather permitting. And Now ...

A Blog By Carol

*But I did get your attention. Classic bait and switch.

** But I make no promises, re: tangents. Tangents are my favorite! For those who prefer sticking to a point, for your convenience, I've relegated irrelevancies to footnotes.+

+ Footnotes are my favorite!
